May at Last Mountain Distillery

This is new to us, but we’re going to give it a try! So many exciting things happening around Last Mountain we thought we’d try and share a bit more of it for anyone who’s interested in learning more!

Summer Store Hours

Our summer hours started over May Long weekend. We are now open Sundays from 12-4 for your convenience.

Also… have you been on a tour lately? We’ve made some changes you may want to check out! It’s also a great way to spend an afternoon if you’ve got company in town.

New Coolers available near you!

We’re super excited about the launch of our coolers this year!  We made some last year, but we only had enough for the Country Thunder crowd.  This year we chose to make them for everyone else!   Everyone who goes camping or is headed to BBQ wants something easy to travel with and tastes delicious, so here you go!  Our favourite part about these is that you can put the cap back on and finish is later if you don’t drink the whole thing!

National Caesar Day was May 18th!

May 18th marked the official kick-off to Caesar Season!  Of course, all of us hard core Caesar drinkers know there’s no such thing as a season for Caesars (everyday is a good day for Caesar!) but if Canada is going to set a day aside to celebrate the unofficial drink, we are in!  And we’re bringing all the Dill Pickle Vodka with us!

Spring Spirits are here too!

We are super excited to welcome back our most refreshing summer spirits! Hibiscus Lime Vodka, Sweet Tea Vodka and Lokel Coconut Vodka. We’ve got some delicious cocktail recipes on our cocktails page for these… or they’re ALL delicious with just club soda (tip from Meredith)

There will be lots of tastings around the province happening with these three, so check out a liquor store near you to try one - or all three!

May was Event Season!

Dallas, Craig and Dylan at Top of the Hops

We’ve already seen so many of you in May thanks to all the amazing events recently! Thanks to everyone that stopped by to try one of our products whether it be at Taste of Spring in Regina, Top of the Hops in Saskatoon, Fest of Ale in Prince Albert, Flavour Festival in Lloydminister, and the Highland Games in Regina, we appreciate your interest in our products!

Saskatchewan Wine and Spirit Association

Saskatchewan’s liquor industry has grown immensely since Last Mountain Distillery started over 12 years ago. It’s been an incredible change to watch. As one of the leaders in our industry, we are working to make Saskatchewan’s liquor industry reflect Saskatchewan. Saskatchewan is filled with hard-working people who would give you the shirt off their backs. At Last Mountain, it is our mission to share that Saskatchewan spirit with the world and we’re taking steps to cultivate that here and across Canada.

Meredith is chair of the Saskatchewan Artisan Wine and Spirits Association, which started in 2015 with other industry leaders like Cary Bowman from Lucky Bastard Distillers, Sue Echlin and Vance Lester of Living Sky Winery, and Marie Bohnet of Cypress Hills Winery.

On the national front, you may have heard about our excise tax increases. For some reason, even though our excise tax has gone up every year for the last 5 years, this year this one made headlines.

At Last Mountain, we have NEVER passed along that increase to our customers and despite the rising costs of everything and that increase, we plan to keep our prices to our customers the same as long as we can. We’re all seeing the price of everything else go up, we don’t need to add to the burden if we don’t have to.
